| Simplified Provider Registration & Billing | ||

|||||
Beginning July 1, 2009, health-care providers who treat both injured workers and crime victims can bill L&I using the same number: your workers' compensation provider number.
The new billing is based on simplified provider registration, an improvement designed to reduce providers' administrative costs when doing business with L&I.
New providers after July 1, 2009 will be able to sign up to treat both injured workers and crime victims at the same time using one registration form.
| Your provider relationship with L&I determines billing (and possible registration)* | |
|---|---|
| If you currently have | Then follow these steps |
| A workers' compensation provider account number and a Crime Victims Compensation Program (CVCP) provider account number | Use your workers' compensation provider account number to bill L&I for treating both injured workers and crime victims. |
| A workers' compensation provider account number but don't have a CVCP provider account number | Before billing for treating a crime victim, you must:
|
| No account numbers with L&I — you're new to treating Washington's injured workers or crime victims |
|
You must continue to apply with the CVCP and aren't eligible to become workers' compensation providers.
Please continue to send bills to the following addresses.
