There are 3 options to file electronically:

What is Provider Express Billing (PEB)?

PEB is a secure way to submit bills for injured workers' compensation and/or retrieve remittances online.

What are the benefits of PEB?

  • It can save you money. Download our Cost Comparison Estimator (28 KB Excel file) to see if you could be saving money.
  • Your bills are received and processed faster.
  • Your electronic remittances are available sooner.
  • Keying errors are reduced.
  • Billings and electronic remittances are transmitted securely.

Is there anything I need to do to use PEB?

There is a simple 5 step process to ensure secure transactions and to be able to use PEB. If you are using Direct Entry, you only need to complete steps 2 through 4.:

  1. Obtain billing software that can create or be modified to send an ASCII text file in either L&I's current formats or the national HIPAA-compliant formats.
  2. Apply for an L&I provider account, if you don't already have one by completing a Provider Account Application and Notice form (F248-011-000).
  3. Complete an Electronic Billing Authorization form (F248-031-000).
  4. Register with SecureAccess Washington.
  5. Submit electronic test file(s) until approved to submit production files.
