How to become an interpreter

To interpret for injured workers

  1. Be certified as an interpreter, provide a copy of your credentials.
  2. Get an L&I provider account number. Complete the Provider Account Application and Form W-9.
  3. Complete the Submission of Provider Credentials for Interpretive Services form.
  4. Submit the items above, at the same time, to:

To interpret for crime victims

  1. Be certified as an interpreter, provide a copy of your credentials.
  2. Get an L&I provider account number. Complete the Provider Account Application and Form W-9 for Crime Victims.
  3. Complete the Submission of Provider Credentials for Interpretive Services form.
  4. Submit the items above, at the same time, to:
    Crime Victims Compensation Program
    Department of Labor and Industries
    PO Box 44520
    Olympia, WA 98504-4520

To update your status or other account information.

To prevent payment delays: Please notify us of any changes to your address, or business status:

  1. Complete the Provider Accounts Change Form.
  2. Mail your completed form to the L&I address on the form.
