Electrodiagnostic Sensory Nerve Conduction Threshold (sNCT)
Coverage decision
L&I does not cover sensory nerve conduction threshold testing. The evidence does not substantially demonstrate the use of sNCT to diagnose sensory neuropathies.
Sensory Nerve Conduction Threshold (sNCT) testing evaluates a variety of sensory neuropathological conditions, including sensory nerve dysfunction. The test is intended to detect and quantify sensory neurophathies by assessing the conduction of all three major sub-populations of sensory nerve fibers.
