L&I is recruiting new VTSG members
L&I is seeking interested front-line, direct service providers to serve on the Vocational Technical Stakeholder Group (VTSG). Members serve 3-year terms. Member expectations include:
- Attending 3 to 5 hour meetings (currently bi-monthly, alternating between Olympia and Tukwila).
- Participating in discussions and providing input concerning vocational services policies.
- Participating in subgroups tasked with exploring policy options.
L&I may be able to assist members with transportation costs.
How will members be selected?
L&I will select 2 members by an application process. We are looking for Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors (VRCs) who can add diversity to the group's and L&I's policy discussions. Some of the qualities being sought are:
- Individual counselors.
- Significant state fund experience.
- Self-insurance experience.

Get Help Downloading Files (files open in a new window).The Vocational Technical Stakeholders Group (VTSG) communicates between L&I and vocational rehabilitation providers who work with injured workers. The VTSG group:
- Gives feedback on proposals related to current and emerging issues.
- Serves as a professional resource on vocational rehabilitation issues to help inform L&I's policy and program decision-making.
VTSG meetings are open to the public with time for public comments scheduled at the end of each meeting.
