All updates for this rule:

Shipyards

On May 2, 2011, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) published a final rule on working conditions in shipyards. The rule updated existing requirements to reflect advances in industry practices and technology and provided new protections from hazards that were not previously addressed, including the control of hazardous energy. This rulemaking makes identical amendments to L&I’s rules governing shipyards in Washington state. The changes were adopted 6/5/2012 and became effective on 8/1/2012.654.
