Robert J. Malooly has been Assistant Director for the Insurance Services division since February 2003.

Bob has worked in the insurance industry for 30 years, rising from claims adjudicator to chairman and chief executive officer of the Industrial Commission of Illinois.

As head of the Industrial Commission of Illinois under Gov. James Thompson, Bob worked to implement a broad package of legislative reforms to the Illinois workers' compensation system. Before directing the Industrial Commission, he was part of the executive management team that restructured the Illinois Department of Employment Security.
