Executive Management Bio: Christy Ridout

Christy Ridout was appointed as Assistant Director for Information Services at Labor and Industries starting May 25, 2005. She has worked in the information technology field for over twenty years. The majority of Christy’s career has been spent in developing applications for social services. She worked in the private sector as a systems integrator in several states prior to coming to the state of Washington. Before the private sector stint, she worked in Utah State as a systems manager.

Christy joined Washington state government in January of 1994 when she was hired as the Deputy Project Director for DSHS' Automated Client Eligibility System (ACES) project. She was appointed to the position of Project Director in 1996 and successfully managed ACES for several years. In September 1999, Christy was promoted to the position of CIO for DSHS. During her tenure as DSHS CIO, she was an active member of IPMA, APHSA-ISM, and the DIS Customer Advisory Board. She is proud of being one of five founding members of the statewide Enterprise Architecture Committee for Washington State.
