Dave Stewart was appointed Assistant Director for the Office of Human Resources in October 2003. 

Before joining L&I, Dave was the Deputy Director for the Alaska State Department of Personnel.

Dave has worked in human resources positions in Alaska since 1985, including serving as human resource manager for the State Department of Education and the State Department of Labor. In the Labor position, he was involved in the human resource aspects of workers’ compensation administration, workplace safety, and many other areas similar to L&I’s activities.

Dave holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California , San Diego.
