Patrick Woods has been Assistant Director for Specialty Compliance Services since 1998. In this position, Woods oversees a number of L&I Trades and Licensing programs.

Prior to joining L&I, Patrick worked for fifteen years as non-partisan staff in the Senate's Committee Services Division. While in the Senate, he was the staff coodinator to the Commerce & Labor Committee from 1987 to 1998. This committee had as a part of its purview workforce issues along with L&I, Employment Security, Liquor, Lottery, Gambling, Economic Development, International Trade, labor-related issues and licensing of professions.
