Steve McLain, Assistant Director for Administrative Services

Steve McLain is the Assistant Director for Administrative Services. Prior to this appointment  he was the Operations Manager in Specialty Compliance. He has worked for the state of Washington for more than 26 years. He began as a printer’s assistant with the Attorney General part-time while attending community college. He joined the Department of Labor and Industries in 1990 in the Human Resources program. He moved to Regional services serving as a program manager and Regional Administrator until 2004 when he was asked to join the Governor’s Labor Relations Office. He headed that office until returning to L&I in December of 2007.
