Bob Lanouette was appointed Assistant Director for Information Services at L&I in June 2011.
He is responsible for overseeing the agency's information technology (IT) infrastructure that provides expertise and services vital to supporting the agency's priorities, mandates, and goals as they pertain to centralized data and application systems, data security, computer acquisition and upgrades, voice and video services, help desk support, networking and computing infrastructure, and planning activities for the future use of technology.
Bob joined the State of Washington in 1992 when he was hired as the Program Manager for L&I's Applications & Data Management Program. Prior to that, he worked in the private sector as the Director of Telecommunications and Information Systems for a storage and distribution depot from 1988 to 1992, which was his last position after a 22-year career in the U.S. Army.
His education includes a BA in Business Administration from Eastern Washington University, an MA in Management from Webster University, an MA in Health Delivery Systems from Webster University, and an MBA in Information Systems Management from The George Washington University.
