Preferred Qualifications:

Three years of progressively increasing responsibility providing broad-based professional human resource services, including facilitating organizational development or change, and advising and consulting on complex human resource issues.



Knowledge of:

RCWs, WACs, CBAs, policies in Human Resources – Thorough working knowledge of RCWs, WACs, policies and procedures, and collective bargaining agreements as they pertain to commonly-applied personnel actions.

 

Skills and Abilities:
  • Anticipate problems, identify issues and develop options when consulting and advising managers and supervisors on corrective action issues.
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiation and facilitation skills.
  • Able to be proactive, prioritize work and handle multiple assignments in a timely manner.
  • Fosters effective working relationships, propose solutions to resolve conflict and builds consensus.
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office applications; Outlook, Excel and Word.

  • Prior to any new appointment into L&I, a background check, including criminal record history, will be conducted.
  • Employees driving on state business must have a valid driver’s license. Employees driving a privately owned vehicle on state business must have liability insurance on the privately-owned vehicle.
