The HR Liability Prevention Manager conducts and coordinates internal investigation activities involving allegations of employee misconduct and is also the agency liaison with external investigative agencies, including civil and criminal law enforcement. Receives, reviews, and responds to allegations and complaints involving violations of civil rights and ethics laws. Also develops and presents training on ethics, civil rights and respectful workplace issues, and facilitates dispute and conflict resolution involving employees and customers.

 

Desired Qualifications:
  • Expert knowledge of ADA and compliance decisions; Washington state ethics laws and body of decisions; Civil Rights Act, Title 7; state and other federal anti-discrimination laws and bodies of decision.
  • Advanced knowledge of: just cause standards and due process steps; investigations, evidence and reporting; Washington Public Disclosure laws and requirements; computer forensics.
  • Expert skill in investigative interviewing techniques and methodologies.
  • Expert knowledge of risk management principles and tort liability concepts.
  • Mastery of mediation, negotiation, and alternative dispute resolution principles and methodologies
  • Applied principles of group facilitation and interpersonal and group relationships and communications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and critical liability issues and effectively re-prioritize as needed to respond to changing circumstances.
  • Dispute mediation.
  • Skilled in early detection and assessment of potential HR liability issues; provide timely and effective consultation and intervention services.


 

Compensation:

WMS Band 2, $63,624 – 87,864 annually depending on qualifications.
