L&I hears directly from customers on workers' comp claims

Injured workers and employers with time-loss claims are being asked to tell about their claim experience directly to Department of Labor & Industries senior leaders and front-line staff.

In April, small groups of customers will be asked to attend a workshop where they will discuss what can make L&I more effective at serving workers’ comp customers – from the customer’s point of view.  Senior leaders, claims managers, and other staff will be in the room to meet the participants and hear the discussion.  Participants will be introduced on a “first name only” basis.

Insights from the workshops will immediately be put to work in a series of improvement projects in the agency’s claims system.

L&I hired Ipsos Reid, an independent research firm, to facilitate the workshops and conduct surveys of workers’ comp customers.  If you are an injured worker or employer with a current time-loss claim, you may be called by an Ipsos representative and asked to participate.

The workshops will focus on our interactions with customers, not about the employer or worker who is participating, or about the details of the workers’ comp claim.

We appreciate your willingness to help us deliver excellent service!
