L&I talks to workers and employers about their customer experience

L&I asks workplace safety inspection participants, "How did we do?"

If you're a worker or employer whose workplace was inspected in the past 12 months by the L&I Division of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH), you may receive a call from interviewers at Ipsos Reid, L&I's customer research contractor.

The survey typically takes about 10 minutes and focuses on the inspector's conduct, the process, and any written materials used in the inspection. All results will be anonymous and participants won't be asked to reveal any information about their company or organization.

L&I asks employers to help us write better letters

Small business owners and managers are being asked to help L&I improve letters commonly sent to employers to notify them about an audit of their workers' compensation premiums.

Business owners and managers recruited by Ipsos Reid, L&I's customer research contractor, will be asked to "walk through" how they would read and interpret various letters that L&I sends prior to workers' comp audits. Right now, we find that the letters are sometimes misunderstood, which leads to unnecessary problems for everyone.

Participants' will be known to L&I by first name only, allowing them to be candid with our researchers.
