Construction Advisory Committee (CAC)

A forum for labor, business and L&I to discuss solutions to injuries, illnesses and fatalities in Washingtons construction industry.

Governor's Industrial Safety and Advisory Board

GISHAB is a labor-management organization representing all major sectors of Washington industry whose mission is to promote safe and healthy working environments for the people of Washington State by providing education and outreach programs. One of GISHABs major goals is to implement workplace safety and health curriculum in all Washington State schools. GISHAB also sponsors the Washington Governors Industrial Safety and Health Conference in conjunction with Labor & Industries.

Hazardous Drugs Advisory Committee

A forum for labor, business and L&I to discuss new recommendations from the National Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (NIOSH), scientific and technological developments and other unanticipated issues related to implementation of the hazardous drug handling rule.

Process Safety Management (PSM) Advisory Committee

This committee will discuss ways to improve workplace safety and health at refineries. L&I and stakeholders have the shared goal of providing a safe and healthy work environment for employees. The efforts of the advisory committee will promote safer and more productive refineries in Washington.

SHIP Advisory Committee

The L&I SHIP program \created two review committees based on the 2011 legislative mandate that put the program in permanent status. The members represent business, labor and Department professionals. Members are appointed to serve three-year renewable terms. The review committees will provide assistance to the Department, making recommendations regarding funding priority areas and applications that merit funding.

WISHA Advisory Committee (WAC)

A forum for labor, business representatives, and the Division of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) with a primary focus on advancement of worker protection in Washington State.

Workplace Violence Prevention in Healthcare Workgroup

A workgroup to develop a best practices employers can use to reduce and eliminate workplace violence in the healthcare industry. This workgroup is for stakeholders with experience in workplace violence and safety in the healthcare setting. The meetings are open to the public and will include representatives from business and labor, as well as government representatives from the federal, state, county and local levels.
