60 Seconds for Safety & Health - Fall Through Skylight

A True Story

On a crisp morning, a heating and air conditioning worker left his home and family and never came back. He worked for a heating and air conditioning company that contracted with many building owners for maintenance of rooftop HVAC systems. At his first job of the day, on a building roof, he took a few steps backwards, tripped and fell onto the skylight cover, which broke under his weight. He fell 26 feet, landed on his head and died instantaneously.
