Portal Pack Respirator Certification Revoked

"PORTAL PACK" RESPIRATOR CERTIFICATION REVOKED: The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health recently issued an advisory that the MSA Self Contained Rescuer, referred to as the "Portal Pack" (Approval No. TC-13F-283) has had its certification revoked. These respirators have been primarily used in mining operations, but they are also used in some general industry applications such as tunneling.
