THEN you are responsible to Provide temporary employees with a safe workplace
- Contractors/subcontractors
THEN you are responsible to:
- Ensure they really are an independent contractor, and not legally your employees
Screen
subcontractors -- avoid the ones who set you up for expensive
losses. 
- Stay actively involved to protect your company!
- Provide the employees with a safety orientation [see Section 3b]
- Provide necessary Personal Protective Equipment
- Require all employees to attend safety meetings or participate in your safety committee
- Include all work areas in your safety inspections
