Create a basic safety plan:

Create Your Accident Prevention Plan

The Accident Prevention Plan is the foundation for all of the safety and health activities that keep a business safe and profitable.
The lack of an effective Accident Prevention Plan not only leads to costly accidents and injury claims, it's the violation most frequently cited by DOSH inspectors.

Ensure your plan meets the basic requirements

• Use the template, and fill in your own information
• Determine what else your APP needs, based on what you found during your "Job Hazard Analysis"
• Review the example for "VanWert's Custom Creations"
  

Once you have the basic plan, visit the L&I web site to see if there's anything you should add to become more effective

• Look at general examples for both minimum requirements and for APPs that go beyond the minimum
• See examples for specific industries, such as Construction, Agriculture, Logging, Restaurants
