The best way to prevent future accidents is to determine the "root" cause(s) of incidents that are currently occurring and then to implement the changes necessary to correct the root cause(s). This workshop will provide participants with an overview of basic accident investigation principles and introduce them to the concept of root cause analysis including:
Workshop designed for: Employers who are interested in learning how to develop and implement an effective action plan for conducting accident investigations in their workplace. This is a basic course in accident investigation and not a comprehensive course on root cause analysis. For a more in-depth examination of root cause analysis and other advanced accident investigation techniques, please look for Labor & Industries "Advanced Accident Investigation Workshop" to be developed in the near future.
