Emergency Washing Workshop

Course description

More and more often these days the use of toxic chemicals is becoming a common hazard in the workplace. It is not only chemicals that may be harmful, but also corrosives and strong irritants. Washington state law requires employers to identify potential employee exposure to corrosives, strong irritants, or toxic chemicals, and provide emergency eyewashes or showers if they are present. This workshop will assist employers in: - Doing a hazard assessment to identify potential exposures, - Typical workplaces where these hazards are found, - When emergency eyewashes and or showers may be required, - How to eliminate or avoid the need for them to be present, - What the specifications are for these facilities and some examples of them. This workshop is designed for employers who have potential employee exposure to corrosives, strong irritants, or toxic chemicals.
