IAM/Boeing Joint Apprenticeship Committee (Prog 154)

The IAM/Boeing Joint Apprenticeship Committee will accept applications for new apprentices beginning July 20, 2015 for the following trades:

Blue Streak Mechanic
Composite Manufacturing Technician
Manufacturing Machinist

All Boeing and non-Boeing candidates may apply for open positions that are posted through the Boeing Global Staffing online requisition system at http://www.boeing.com/careers during the advertised application acceptance period. Applicant minimum qualification requirements will be clearly stated on the requisitions. Individuals who do not meet minimum the qualifications will receive an auto-notice encouraging then to apply when the minimum requirements have been met. Applicants may apply for one or more apprenticeship program.

All applicants for an apprenticeship must be at least 18 years of age; be eligible for hire or rehire at Boeing; have never been enrolled in or completed an IAM/Boeing Joint Apprenticeship program; have a GED or a high school diploma; have US person status; meet specific defined vocational training or trade related work experience requirements for the apprenticeship program being applied for; and be able to perform the physical requirements of the apprenticeship. All applicants must complete a COMPASS Assessment within the last 5 years with a minimum score of 60 in the Algebra Placement Domain, a minimum score of 67 in reading, and a minimum score of 32 in writing. Note: we do not accept other assessments, such as Accuplacer; only the COMPASS is approved.

Northwest Independent Contractors Association Apprenticeship Committee (Prog 1795)

Occupation: Carpet, Linoleum & Soft Tile Layer

This program is approximately 5 years in length, and requires that applicants be physically able to perform the work of the trade, be at least 17 years of age, possess a high school diploma, GED, or High School Equivalent and have a valid driver’s license. Proof of age, copies of valid driver’s license and documentation of education should be submitted at the time of application.
All qualified applicants will be forwarded to employers who have openings for opportunity of sponsorship.
Females and minorities are encouraged to apply.
Terms of the Training Agreement are 6000 hours of on the job training, plus 144 hours minimum of classroom related training per year for four years. To ensure a safe work place for everyone all eligible candidates, all apprentices may be subject to drug screen by employers.
Applications can be found online at nicatraining.com can be submitted year round. Applications are not a guarantee of employment.
Applications will be taken by email only at office@nicatraining.com for statewide work. Applicants will be referred to Training Agents (Employers) who can sponsor the applicant for apprenticeship in their geographical area. Contact Kris at 509-750-7553 for more information.
Selection of apprentices is made on the basis of qualification and interest, without regard to race, creed, color, national origin or gender. All applicants are selected on the basis of objective standards provided by the employers, which permits review after full and fair opportunity for application.
