Installing a boiler? You need a permit
Installation or reinstallation permits are required before any new or existing boiler/unfired or pressure vessel is installed, reinstalled, or moved in the state of Washington. Once the installation is complete, L&I technical staff and other boiler inspectors will inspect it. Once all fees are paid, L&I will issue an operating permit. All boilers and pressure vessels in Washington need an operating permit from L&I.
