Boiler Inspector Training & Certification
All boiler/pressure vessel inspectors working in the State of Washington are required to have a "work card" issued by the Department of Labor and Industries.
To be eligible for a "work card," the inspector must:
- Have submitted the Application for Certificate of Competency as an Inspector of Pressure Retaining Items at least 30 days prior to the exam date.
- Have successfully passed the National Board and the Washington State Boiler Exam, both given on the same day, and have submitted the appropriate fee.
