Getting a maritime crane inspected and certified

Q: Do I have to have a crane certified in the state of Washington?
A: Yes, if the crane, derrick, or material-handling device is used within a maritime industry. If it is a construction or general industry crane, then it does not have to be certified by a crane certifier.

Q: Do I have to have a cargo spout, sucker or similar equipment certified in the state of Washington?
A: Yes, cargo spouts, suckers and similar equipment must be certified.

How to obtain a Certificate of Inspection

You may request a list of certifiers who are approved by the department to certify cranes by calling 360-902-4943 or download it from the Forms list below.
