Customer Support Center: QuickCards

What do I do, if while in the renewal process, the application rejects me and says I cannot continue online?

If the renewal application does not let you log in, it means that there is some issue with your license that needs to be addressed before you can renew it. When the application rejects your login, a message tells you the reason why L&I thinks there is a problem and won't let you continue. If you believe the reason to be incorrect or would like more detail, contact the electrical licensing program at 360-902-5269.

Will I have to pay a penalty if I attempt to renew on the expiration date of the certificate and there is a problem with the system?

The law requires renewals to be received by the department on or before the expiration date. Renewals not received by the expiration date are subject to penalties. If you experience problems with the QuickCards system and are unable to renew your certificate online, you may have to submit your renewal at your local L&I field office.

What is the CVN number on a credit card?

For your protection, the three-digit CVN (Card Verification Number) on your credit card is required for processing. All credit card cards now being released have a three-digit CVN issued on them. The three-digit CVN is usually printed on the signature panel on the back of the card immediately after the card number or partial card number. For simplicity, the CVN is always the last three digits shown on the signature panel.

NOTE: If you enter the CVN but the credit card payment is denied try removing the CVN number, some credit card processing companies do not require this field.
