Hearing set July 30 on rules for claims from injured workers
TUMWATER -- The Department of Labor & Industries will hold a public hearing July 30 to solicit comments on a proposal to revise rules related to processing claims from injured workers.
The department said the changes are necessary to revamp the rules in a
clear-writing style to make them easier to understand.
The rules apply to the closing and re-opening of claims in the state's workers' compensation system managed by Labor & Industries.
The hearing will be from 10 a.m. to noon in the auditorium of the L&I building at 7273 Linderson Way SW, Tumwater.
Written comments may be submitted through July 30 to Penny Lewis, Claims Administration, PO Box 44200, Olympia, WA 98504-4200, or via fax at 360-902-4565.
