Vancouver added as additional location for L&I rate hearing

TUMWATER — The Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) has scheduled a sixth hearing on proposed 2008 workers’ compensation rates. It will be held at 10 a.m. Oct. 26 at the Red Lion Hotel Vancouver at the Quay, 100 Columbia St., Vancouver.

Other hearings will be held in Spokane, Mount Vernon, Tukwila, Tumwater and Yakima.

L&I has proposed a 3.2 percent increase in workers’ compensation rates next year to help keep pace with inflation.

Written comments, accepted through Nov. 6, may be e-mailed to Ronald Moore, Employer Services Program Manager, or mailed to him at the Department of Labor and Industries, P.O. Box 44140, Olympia, WA 98504-4140. Faxed comments should go to 360-902-4729.
