L&I extends written-comment period on proposed rule to protect workers in hot weather

TUMWATER — The Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) has extended the period in which written comments may be submitted on a proposed workplace rule to protect workers from heat-related illness when working outdoors in hot weather.

The comment period has been extended to 5 p.m. Friday, May 9.

L&I extended the deadline because of an increase in the number of comments received over the past two weeks.

by 5 p.m. May 9.
