Did you know that each year workers in Washington State are exposed to hazards such as falls, struck by objects, mechanical moving parts, toxic chemicals, and heavy lifting that can lead to serious injuries or death?
This is why the Division of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) goal is to Focus on FACTS, which represents the five main categories of hazards that are the most frequent causes of workplace injuries, occupational diseases, and death.
By focusing on these main categories employers and employees, can identify and evaluate existing or unforeseen safety & health hazards and find solutions to eliminate or control those hazards.
