Puget Sound Energy Apprenticeship Program (Program 83)Occupations: Substation Wire; Hydro Electrician; Hydro Mechanic; Electric Meter; and Combustion Turbine Specialist Puget Sound Energy is seeking persons interested in apprenticeship opportunities in the energy sector. Apprenticeships are regular, full time opportunities and are located throughout the Puget Sound Region. Minimum requirements: Process Overview: Please visit www.PSE.com to apply online. Applicants with the minimum requirements will be invited to sit for the National Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee aptitude examination for the electrical industry as well as a test of basic electrical knowledge. You must score a rating of 4 or better on the NJATC test and 70% or better on the basic electrical knowledge test. Testing is offered twice a year for all programs in spring and fall. The next test is anticipated to occur on May 15th, 2009. Applicants successfully passing both examinations will be invited to the interview process for ranking candidates for entry into the apprentice-qualified pool. As apprentice positions become available, they will be offered to those in the apprentice-qualified pool. Upon completion of your on-line application, a full packet of apprenticeship required forms and materials will be sent to you for completion and submission prior to testing. All application packets must be returned to PSE by May 1st, 2009. Other: These are safety sensitive positions subject to random DOT drug
