Washington State created the Industry and Economic Sector Platforms through ESSB 5600 in 2022. The Platforms are designed to bring together subject matter experts in the implementation and application of Registered Apprenticeship, for the purpose of creating consistent guidelines for apprenticeable occupations.

The following platforms are operational and currently working through occupations:

• Healthcare.
• Aerospace and Advanced Manufacturing.

The following platforms are still accepting applications to move toward operational status:

• Public Sector and Public Service.
• Utilities.
• Maintenance and Industrial.
• Information Technology.
• Service Sector.
• Building and Construction Trades
