The Board of Boiler Rules and L&I proposed changes to the Boiler rule, Chapter 296-104 WAC. The changes would increase fees by the fiscal growth factor of 6.41% for boiler and pressure vessel services. The fee increases are needed to support operating expenses for L&I’s Boiler Program. The changes would also amend the definition of ‘pool heaters” to clarify inspection requirements.

L&I filed the proposal (CR-102) on January 2, 2025 (WSR 25-02-117).

An update on the status of this rulemaking will be provided during the quarterly board meeting. A public hearing on the proposed amendments is scheduled for 10:20 a.m. on February 5.
