The Board of Boiler Rules and Department of Labor & Industries adopted amendments to the boiler rule under chapter 296-104 WAC. The changes affect safety codes, installers, clearance requirements, and fees for boilers and pressure vessels. The amendments are needed to ensure the rules are consistent with national boiler and unfired pressure vessel safety standards and industry practice. This adoption also increases fees by the fiscal growth factor rate of 6.40% to support operating expenses for the Boiler Program.
