The Washington State Department of Labor and Industries’ (L&I) Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) is conducting rulemaking to update current requirements relating to cranes, rigging, and personnel lifting in construction located in chapter 296-155 WAC, Part L.

This proposed rulemaking is in response to updates to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) standard for cranes and derricks in construction, as well as changes initiated by L&I. Additional details about this rulemaking, including a copy of the Preproposal Statement of Inquiry (CR-101) and the preliminary draft rule, are provided on the stakeholder information website.
