Labor & Industries (L&I) adopted new electrical safety codes and other changes to Chapter 296-46B WAC. L&I filed the CR-103 Rulemaking Order (WSR 24-05-085) to adopt the changes on February 21, 2024. The new rules took effect April 1, 2024.

L&I also adopted changes that increase the electrical fees by 6.4% to support operating expenses. This is the Office of Financial Management’s maximum allowable fiscal growth factor rate for fiscal year 2025. L&I filed the CR-103 Rulemaking Order (WSR 24-07-096) to adopt the changes on March 19, 2024. The fee increase takes effect July 1, 2024.
