Labor & Industries filed a CR-101 Preproposal Statement of Inquiry (WSR 21-21-088) to consider adopting new safety codes and for updates to the elevator rules under chapter 296-96 WAC on October 19, 2021. L&I also adopted (CR-103) a 17% fee increase to fund a new Conveyance Management System (CMS) on October 18, 2022 (WSR 22-21-118). The fee increase is split into two, 8.5% fee increases that take effect January 1, 2023, and January 1, 2024. Updates on the status of these rulemakings will be provided during the quarterly ESAC meetings.
