Labor & Industries (L&I) is considering changes to the Factory Assembled Structures (FAS) rules under Chapter 296-150F WAC, Factory-built housing and commercial structures, to implement legislation and for other changes to the rules. L&I filed a CR-101 Pre-Proposal Statement of Inquiry on July 2, 2019 (WSR 19-14-106).
L&I is also planning to engage in rulemaking to increase fees by the fiscal growth factor for factory assembled structures. The current fee levels are inadequate to cover FAS Program expenses. The fee increases are needed to cover operating costs for the FAS Program.
Updates on the status of these rulemakings will be provided during the quarterly FAS Advisory Board meeting.
