Purpose

This adoption extends the occupational disease presumption to law enforcement officers, emergency medical technicians (EMT), and fire investigators as well as updates the list of covered conditions. This rulemaking also allows a presumption of occupational disease for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) for firefighters, EMTs, and law enforcement officers. The rulemaking implements House Bill 1913 and Substitute Senate Bill 6214.
