Ergonomics Rulemaking Advisory Committee
Ergonomics Rulemaking Advisory Committee is a forum for labor and business representatives, facilitated by L&I. The committee provides input, recommendations and advice on the development of proposed ergonomic rules, including input on draft proposed rules and effective dates. The committee members serve as liaisons for employers and workers of the selected industry they represent.
Governor's Industrial Safety and Health Advisory Board
Governor's Industrial Safety and Health Advisory Board (GISHAB) is a labor-management organization representing all major sectors of Washington industry whose mission is to promote safe and healthy working environments for the people of Washington State by providing education and outreach programs. One of GISHAB’s major goals is to implement workplace safety and health curriculum in all Washington State schools. GISHAB also sponsors the Washington Governor’s Industrial Safety and Health Conference in conjunction with Labor & Industries.
Safety & Health Investment Program (SHIP) Grant Review Committee
The L&I SHIP program created two review committees based on the 2011 legislative mandate that put the program in permanent status. The members represent business, labor and Department professionals. Members are appointed to serve three-year renewable terms. The review committees will provide assistance to the Department, making recommendations regarding funding priority areas and applications that merit funding.
WISHA Advisory Committee (WAC)
WISHA Advisory Committee (WAC) is a forum for labor, business representatives, and the Division of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) with a primary focus on advancement of worker protection in Washington State.
